The trails behind Gaultois weave a path through mountainous terrain, and my friends and I spend a lot of our time together while we hike here. On this particular day, we were bundled up in all of our winter gear, when we looked up and marvelled at the gorgeous sunset. The next day, I found a canvas and set up to paint my impression of that day, trying to capture the look of the soft snow blanketing the trail with hints of the sleeping greenery beneath.
